Despite economic challenges worldwide, ChildFund increased its efforts to serve children thanks to the generosity of supporters. ChildFund’s public support and revenue for FY11 was $238 million, up from $216 million in FY10. Supporters can give with confidence, knowing that 83 percent of every dollar goes to helping children.
That help includes building a place for expectant mothers in Honduras to stay within reach of trained, professional care. It includes partnering with a therapeutic feeding center in Liberia to provide a chance at life for severely malnourished babies, and working with families in Timor-Leste to bring clean, fresh water to their village.
It includes helping in emergencies where hope is in short supply, such as in the Horn of Africa, where we work in Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda. The worst drought in 60 years has more than 13 million people in its grip, and ChildFund is focused on a large-scale response.
Inside this year’s Annual Report, you’ll find stories about all these as well as the past year’s financials.
We’re excited to share the results of another year of providing life-changing programs for children, and we thank you for your ongoing support.
