Sunte is a young boy from Mbirikani village in the Rift valley part of Kenya. He lives with both parents. The family is settled in a semi arid area which is not favorable for agriculture. The family entirely depends on sale of milk for survival purposes. The annual income is USD 260. The parents have tried to supplement their income by doing casual jobs. However, the jobs have had a high demand hence poor pay. This is due to the large pool of unskilled population. After an assessment was done by social workers Sunte was found to be eligible for enrolment. His enrolment will not only guarantee him quality education but will also present him with an opportunity for social development like other children. Your support to Sunte through sponsorship will not only be an inspiration to him but will also encourage him to work hard in school. Help light a candle of hope to this young humble boy and family.
