Sintia Tuan was born to a desperately poor family in East Nusa Tenggara. She lives with her parents only in a small house made of brick for wall, cemented for floor; there is no bathroom, unfortunately. There is electricity so they made of the light in an effort to keep the home going; so they use it for the light. Her father is working as a farmer, but her meager and uncertain income is not sufficient to provide adequately for the necessities of life for the family. His annual income is around US$ 400. Her mother, although she tries to make the most of the little, she cannot do much with her husband's low income. When the time came for the girl to begin school, these good parents knew they would need assistance with her education. We are happy to welcome the lass to our big family. Sintia is her nickname.
