Seed money helps futures grow

ChildFund provided seed money for the Arada project to establish the Tirete (which means effort) block production association.

Now the lives of Asa, 18, and Melka, 30, are changed. Although Asa’s income is small, he is now able to continue his education.

Melka, who has three children whose father died from HIV/AIDS, is living with HIV, herself. But thanks to the association she says, “I am living with the virus, but I can do everything that any person can do.” She provides for her family as the sole bread winner.
