McFarren Brings Wealth of Experience to ChildFund Bolivia
ChildFund welcomed Wendy McFarren last November as national director of ChildFund Bolivia. Wendy has experience in many fields including strategic planning, policy design, monitoring and evaluation of programs and interactive educational program design.
Before joining ChildFund, Wendy worked as Executive Director for PROCOSI (Program for Coordination in Integrated Health) in La Paz, Bolivia. Additionally, she served as director of the Quipus Craft Development Program, and as executive director of the Kusillo Interactive Museum, both in La Paz.
What do you enjoy most about working for ChildFund?
That through my work I contribute to making children’s lives healthier and more enjoyable in Bolivia.
Since starting to work at ChildFund, what is one of your most memorable experiences?
Visiting an early childhood program in Oruro, Bolivia, where parents of sponsored children were highly committed to it because they perceived an important impact on the healthy development of their small children.
How do you relax?
I spend time with my children and go swimming as often as it is possible.
Do you have any hobbies?
I love photography and traveling in nature.
