ChildFund works in some of the poorest countries in the world to provide food, clean water and health care to children in need. From Brazil to Belarus, ChildFund works with governments, child development agencies and other non-governmental organizations to offer children and their communities a brighter future. However, we couldn't fight child poverty as effectively without the support of our generous donors. We would love to hear how your sponsorship is changing a child's life - and your own.

Social media has proven to be a powerful tool in spreading awareness about the work that ChildFund does with your help. If you sponsor a child, you'll receive regular letters from the child you have chosen to sponsor, if you like. An effective way to spread the word about sponsoring children is through social media.
Our Facebook app enables you to share your story with your family and friends and other ChildFund supporters. You can share the reason you chose to sponsor a child like Virginia did. Virginia and her husband wanted to get involved and help a child in need, and after researching their options on the ChildFund website, they chose to sponsor Darwin, an 11-year-old boy living in Central America. Virginia's story shows how sponsorship can not only bring hope to a child's life but also be a tremendously rewarding experience.
Cynthia wrote about how sponsoring a child has been both exciting and rewarding. Cynthia chose to sponsor a girl from Sierra Leone, an African country where thousands of children were displaced by the civil war that raged there for 10 years. Cynthia was inspired by the actions and kindness of Mick Foley, a professional wrestler who has been an advocate of child sponsorship in Sierra Leone for many years. By sharing her own story with the world, Cynthia may touch someone's heart the way Mick touched hers.
Although the kindness and generosity of our sponsors has made an incredible difference in the lives of children in need around the world, there is still much to be done. If you want to help us fight child poverty, please consider sponsoring a child or donating to our Children's Greatest Needs program.
