Edgar lives in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas with his parents and four brothers. He is the second to the oldest of the children. The family is of Hispanic heritage. The sole provider of the family is the child's father. The mother does the housework and looks after the family while the father works. The income earned is minimal and insufficient to provide for the family's basic needs. Through your support the family will receive educational and nutritional benefits from the program. The parents also receive early childhood development, GED, English and health nutrition classes. After school tutoring is available for the children. Edgar is a playful, talkative and friendly child. His favorite school subject is math and favorite color is blue. He likes to play football. Edgar is in good health.

Child Sponsorship Is So Easy...

When you sponsor a child in the United States, you’ll change a life somewhere in one of the poorest counties in the nation. ChildFund serves children in Mississippi, North and South Dakota, Oklahoma and Texas. Programs are tailored to needs prevalent in each area, such as suicide prevention among Native American children and, in many areas, nutrition programs to fight diabetes.

Circle with Arrows

Your monthly $35 gift will be combined with those of other sponsors whose children are enrolled in the same area, so that all girls and boys will benefit.
