Richmond, Va. – Jan. 25, 2012 – ChildFund International has selected Michael Dembo as vice president of People & Culture and Chief Human Resource Officer. Dembo leads the global human resources team, which includes six directors, four staff members and 24 national office human resource team members. His core priorities are developing leadership and management skills, building organizational capability and embedding values and systems that will move ChildFund’s global strategy forward.

Dembo has more than 20 years of domestic and international human resources experience across multiple industries. Prior to joining ChildFund, Dembo led the human resources function for global field operations at Save the Children.

Dembo earned his bachelor’s degree at Gettysburg College and his MBA at Loyola University of Maryland. He is facilitator-certified in a number of leadership training and assessment programs.
