Support ChildFund Through Fundraising Projects
Support a ChildFund project by
organizing a fundraiser.
we work together, we can make a bigger difference in the lives of families
in need. Here are some ways to raise funds for ChildFund's larger projects
that benefit entire communities in developing countries.
Many of our special projects benefit more than just
one family. For example, our goal to provide
the Butemba community in Uganda with Ferro water tanks will benefit many
families, most of whom lack access to clean drinking water. We have already
raised more than $12,000, and fundraising projects can help us reach our goal.
Similarly, our project to provide regular
medical checkups to Indian children has already raised in excess of $3,000,
but we still have a ways to go before reaching our target of $12,870.
There are countless ways you can raise money for a
ChildFund project. Bake sales, tournaments, raffles and spare change
collection drives are all excellent ways to raise money and also generate
awareness within your community of some of the issues children face in the
countries ChildFund serves. The more people who get involved, the bigger the
difference we can make.
Start by discussing your plans with
friends and family, and brainstorm ideas for fun ways to bring the community
together for a good cause. After coming up with ideas for ways to raise
money, choose one that will be practical and could have a wide reach.
Spreading the Word
Once you have decided which project you want to
support, you'll need to get the word out. Social media is invaluable when
publicizing fundraising projects, but so are traditional media outlets such
as local newspapers. To raise awareness of your fundraising goals, contact
the local news media and let them know what you have planned. Media coverage
is vital for spreading the word about your event, and it may also be worth
contacting local businesses to see if they are willing to support your
