The ONE Campaign, also known as “ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History,” is a coalition of groups seeking to rally Americans to fight global HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.

White wristbands are a sign of solidarity and are worn by ONE Campaign supporters.

The ONE Campaign

The ONE Campaign is a movement to build a constituency of Americans who believe the United States should do more to fight global hunger, disease and poverty, and act on that belief. Specifically, the ONE Campaign seeks to build the political will in the United States to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The ONE Campaign is not a new entity or organization that seeks to replace or duplicate the ongoing efforts of many organizations on these issues. Rather, the ONE Campaign is a coalition of groups working together to expand the number of Americans who are interested in getting involved, and the Campaign offers the vehicle for raising support.

The ONE Campaign hopes to expand the constituency of Americans who care about and act on these issues, while at the same time amplifying the efforts of groups and constituencies who are already engaged.

In addition, the ONE Campaign is the U.S. coalition affiliated with the Global Call to Action on Poverty (GCAP). See www.whiteband.org for information on GCAP.
