Yokoyasi is a young boy living with his parents in a house that is made of mud walls, grass thatched roof with packed dirt floor. The house has a dusty floor which is not conducive for the children as it exposes them to flu which makes them to fall sick from time to time thus draining the family income. Yokoyasi and the parents hardly eat two meals a day which affects their growth and development. Yokoyasi has only two pairs of clothes exposing him to skin diseases which drain the family income in terms of treatment. He loves playing ball games with his fellow children at school and supports his parents in cleaning the compound. His parents are small scale farmers who practice farming on a small piece of land, which is infertile, this affects their incomes in terms of survival. However, Yokoyasi shows interest in schooling as he excels in counting numbers and shading, thus once supported his future dream will be achieved and the family wellbeing will be enhanced.
