Nelly is a charming young girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She lives with her mother, father and three sisters. They live in a palm thatched mud hut in communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is scares and salty hence not safe for child consumption as is predisposes her waterborne diseases. The family depends on farming the father is the breadwinner. However, the annual income derived from these economic activities is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to cater for all the family basic needs. Her mother therefore decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Nelly is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school going age. While at home, she likes playing with shakers and other improvised dolls made by her elder sisters. When she grows up, her parents would like her to become an engineer and also help the less fortunate members of the society. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the entire family.
