Omar and family lives in small village in the west coast region of the Gambia in the district of kombo east. His parents are subsistence farmers who entirely depend on rain fed agriculture for survival and their annual income is estimated to be around US$: 400.00. During the dry season the family embarked on vegetable production in order to support their living expenses. This is considered to be very small and cannot cater for this child’s basic needs. The family believes that enrolling this child into ChildFund sponsorship program will enable him have quality education, good health as well as better living condition.
