Maman – as she is often called – is a very polite girl. She lives with her parents and siblings in one of the cities located in the remote countryside. Her father is a traditional farmer like most of the people living in this community. As for the mother, she is a brave housewife who stays at home to take care of the family. The annual income of US $ 1,800.00 which the father earns from his crops is not enough to take good care of their family’s basic needs. Maman is not in school because she has not reached the required age yet. She stays most of the time at home where she enjoys having fun with her dolls and different games with the other kids of the neighborhood. Sponsorship would help this girl have a good education and succeed in life.
