Sorie is a friendly boy who lives with both parents and three siblings including other extended family members in a small farming community in the northern part of Sierra Leone. They are most peaceful and a caring family. His father cultivates rice and other foodstuffs like yams and cassava for home consumption while the mother engages in backyard vegetable gardening to take assist in the upkeep of the home. They dwell in a five bedroom adobe mud bricks family house with zinc roof and unpaved dirt floors with no toilet facility and proper ventilation. Sorie sleeps with his grandfather on a locally made wooden bed with a grass mattress on it which lack adequate beddings. Sorie is a promising child and attending in one of the community schools in his village. His class teacher loves him very much due to his outstanding performance in class. His happiest moment is when the family relaxes in the evening while his uncle engages him in studying what he learnt in school. Sponsoring Sorie will make a remarkable difference in his life.
