Marla Jhadylu, known as Marla is a cheerful and friendly girl. She studies in a public primary school; math is her favorite subject. Marla loves playing with the ball and wants to study to become a doctor. Marla is the only child in the family. She lives with her mother and the grandparents in a borrowed house built with wooden walls, metal roof and cement floor. There is a toilet inside their dwelling and they have access to electricity and piped water. The father lives in another place and is not in the life of Marla. The mother works as a housemaid to support her. Her income is too little, not enough to cover their needs. Marla still has a long schooling way ahead.
