Tenneh is a smart and intelligent girl who lives with her parents and siblings in a village community in the northern part of Sierra Leone. They live in a three bedroom mud bricks house with unpaved dirt floors. She is in good health and sleeps with her sisters on a locally made wooden bed with no proper beddings. They access toilet facilities from the neighbouring house. Her father is a subsistence farmer and the mother sells assorted local foodstuffs in the local market. Their combined annual income is about a US Dollars 190.00 which is inadequate to meet the basic needs of the family. They usually get their drinking water from a hand pump well which is about half a kilometre away. She is attending school and does very well in science subjects with the dream of becoming a nurse. With sponsorship, Tenneh will have a brighter future.
