This is Ian. He is a joyful, friendly and loving boy. He grows up in La Paz, Bolivia. He is part of an underprivileged community that faces many serious difficulties, including life-altering malnutrition, and poor educational services. With limited resources and toys, he finds joy in simple activities that capture his curiosity and imagination. He attends preschool, where he enjoys his English classes. Ian lives with his mother, grandparents and 2 siblings in a rudimentary small dwelling made of adobe walls, cement floor and corrugated metal roof. His mother is the sole breadwinner. She works as a secretary. Her income is around US $287.00 per month, which is insufficient and minimal to cover the basics. Like many children in this country, he needs your love and support to have access to better living conditions and education opportunities. You can make it possible.
