Maria is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Lwillton and Danielle, on the outskirts of a city located in the state of Ceara, Northeastern Brazil. Their simple home has brick walls, ceramic tile floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is self-built and has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from a well. Electricity is available. Lwillton struggles to earn a living as a servant on constructions when available, but his very low income is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Danielle does some subsistence farming when available; however, she harvests very little due to the poor soil, unstable weather and rudimentary farming methods. Maria is sweet and polite. She likes playing with balls and pop it fidgets toy. She is fond of animals, especially dogs and cats. Maria is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She is still too young to attend school. Through your support Maria and her family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, education and nutrition.
