Maria Eloa is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Francisco and Luana, and with a sister, in a small community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Electricity is available. Water is carried from an artesian well. Francisco is unemployed at this time. Luana works as a sales representative and earns low wages. Maria Eloa is calm, intelligent and affectionate. She loves playing tag and with dolls in the company of other girls her age. She has a dog she is passionately fond of. Maria Eloa is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. The family is needy and through your support Maria Eloa and her family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
