Janisha is a little boy who lives in a tiny village in Trincomallee, Sri Lanka with his sister and parents. Janish was underweight when he was born, as such he is taken to the clinic every month. Janisha loves to play games with friends and ride bicycles. He attends a pre school which is 3 k.m. away and he walks to school with his mother. His father works as a Security Guard and earns an annual income of around USD1000/- while his mother takes care of their children and tries to manage the expenses with this small income. The family lives in their own house which has been constructed with cement blocks, the floor is of clay and the roof is covered with asbestos sheets. The family does not have access to a water sealed toilet or electricity and use tap water. With the rising cost of living, it is increasingly difficult for their family to make ends meet and to provide nutritious meals to their child with their small income.Your understanding and support will provide them with the assistance they need to improve their living conditions, and offer a brighter future for Janisha by helping him to continue his education successfully.
