nutrition with fruit and vegetable plants.
Oranges, guavas, peaches, papayas, avocados, mangos,
coconuts and bananas. Radishes, cabbages, beets, cucumbers,
cauliflower, spinach and peppers. Fruits and vegetables like
these form the foundation of good nutrition, and they are especially
needed in the impoverished communities served by ChildFund.
Families in Brazil, Dominica, Ecuador, Ethiopia, The Gambia,
Indonesia, Mozambique, Sri Lanka and Uganda have requested
fruit trees and seeds for vegetable gardens. The produce
will contribute to a healthy diet and help improve families’
incomes when they sell the surplus at the local market.
