Emergency Response
Help Children at Risk of Deadly Ebola
Children are in grave danger as Ebola spreads across East Africa. You can help.
A deadly outbreak of the Ebola virus was declared in Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring Uganda in May 2026. In this terrifying situation, children are especially vulnerable: at risk of either falling ill themselves or losing the family members they depend on for their safety and well-being.
Leaning on our deep experience saving lives during the West Africa Ebola outbreak of 2014-2016, ChildFund is working with our trusted local partners to deliver help and protection for children and families through:
- Health and hygiene education
- Detection, prevention and referral training
- Distribution of personal protection equipment — contactless thermometers, sanitizers, masks, handwashing supplies
- Prevention of children’s separation from caregivers
- Psychosocial support
Your gift to the Emergency Action Fund will rush urgent support to children affected by emergencies like these. Please give generously today.
