Help Provide Food and Shelter for Children After Cyclone Nivar

Cyclone Nivar, a severe storm with gusts of nearly 80 miles per hour, made landfall in Tamil Nadu, India, on November 26, 2020, bringing tremendous destruction in its wake. 175,000 people were moved to temporary shelters and several were killed as the storm uprooted trees, toppled electricity pylons and caused flash floods all along India’s eastern coast.

The cyclone has seriously impacted many of the children and families we serve in the communities of Puducherry and Chittoor, destroying homes and livelihoods. ChildFund is assisting more than 100 households in these areas with food and emergency shelter materials, but we can’t do it without your help – especially now that even more powerful storms are forecasted to hit the same area before this turbulent cyclone season is over.

Please give to our Emergency Fund today so that we can continue responding to this emergency and others, making sure children and families are as safe as possible when disaster strikes.
