Help Children in the Philippines After Typhoon Nalgae

Making landfall in the Philippines on October 29, Typhoon Nalgae inundated much of the country – including several communities we work with in the southern Philippines – with record flooding that triggered deadly landslides. Dozens of people are now reported dead, and thousands more lost their homes and livelihoods. Hundreds of thousands of children are now living with their families in temporary shelters, unable to attend school and uncertain of their future.

Our local partner organizations are on the ground helping children recover physically and emotionally from the impact of the storm – setting up Child-Friendly Spaces where kids can play, learn and just be kids, distributing learning materials to replace those destroyed by floods, initiating emergency cash transfers for the most vulnerable families, and connecting parents to cash-for-work programs and other short-term income opportunities. Your gift to the Emergency Action Fund helps provide immeasurable comfort and hope to children during crises like these. Please give as generously as you can to help children affected by Typhoon Nalgae today.
