Help Keep Children in Indonesia Safe After Cyclone Seroja
On April 5, tropical cyclone Seroja struck southeastern Indonesia with high winds and torrential
rains that caused flooding, flash flooding and landslides. Dozens of people are missing or dead, and
thousands more are displaced. We serve 5,500 children and their families in this area, many of whom have now
lost their homes and livelihoods and urgently need support.
ChildFund is on the ground en route to reach survivors on the remote islands affected by the storm, but power
and communications outages, gasoline shortages and impassable roads mean that our relief efforts are
especially challenging. We’re working to ensure the safety of the children in our programs and respond to
their immediate needs for food and shelter, but we can’t do it without your help.
Your gift to our Emergency Fund helps to ensure that children impacted by this disaster and others like it
can be safe and protected and have access to essential needs like food, clean water and medical assistance.
Please give and help children in Indonesia today.
