CCF Team Sent to Assess Flooding in Mexico

CCF program areas have not been directly affected by the current flooding in Mexico.  CCF-Mexico has sent an assessment team to look into the needs of children and whether CCF could contribute to the humanitarian response.

The flooding has left more than 1 million people homeless, primarily in Tabasco state, and is one of the worst natural disasters in the nation’s modern history, according to Mexican President Felipe Calderon. Floods in neighboring Chiapas have also caused serious damage, destroying homes, bridges and other infrastructure.

ChildFund International has earned high ratings from Charity Navigator, the American Institute of Philanthropy and Charities Review Council.
