Earthquake Strikes in West Java, Indonesia
On September 2, an
earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale struck Java, Indonesia. The
ChildFund Indonesia project area of Mino Martani in the Cilacap
District was affected , and ChildFund staff refport 80 houses destroyed, with
minor damage caused to hundreds of others.
Villagers are stressed over
the loss of their homes and cattle.
In addition to the damaged homes,
several markets and schools have sustained minor damage.
