ChildFund International Partners With Donny and Marie Osmond Tour to Promote Child Sponsorship During the Holidays

Richmond, Va.– Nov. 26, 2013 – You don’t have to be a little bit country or a little bit rock ‘n’ roll to help vulnerable children this holiday season. During December, ChildFund International and the Donny and Marie Christmas Tour are partnering to raise awareness about the importance of child sponsorship.

Known for their numerous television roles and musical successes, Donny and Marie Osmond have entertained fans for more than 40 years. The duo will launch their holiday-themed tour in Tulsa, Okla., on Dec. 1 and educate attendees about ChildFund’s work in 30 countries.

“Donny and Marie Osmond are incredible entertainers and feel like family to millions of people,” said Tereza Byrne, chief development and marketing officer at ChildFund International. “We’re excited to partner with the tour to introduce fans to ChildFund’s important work.”

The 15-city tour goes from Dec. 1-21 and includes a mix of holiday classics and renditions of songs from the duo’s 1970s television show.

The tour will be an opportunity for event-goers to learn about ChildFund’s 75-year history assisting children and families across the world. Attendees will have opportunities to learn more about child sponsorship during the concerts.

ChildFund is also looking for volunteers to help at events. For more information, please visit
