    April 10, 2012

    8 years old
    Sierra Leone

Kadiatu and family live in a five bedroom mud bricks house roofed with old zinc. She belongs to the Madingo ethnic group and Muslim faith. Her parents are peasant farmers with an annual income estimated at US $280.00 which is not enough to meet their basic needs. Kadiatu is a promising child despite all constrains and loves playing local games with friends. This child is healthy and sleeps with her sisters on a locally made wooden bed with a grass mattress on it.
