Christian Children's Fund-assisted areas in Guatemala were severely impacted. CCF established contact with all 26 affected program communities in Guatemala.

Thousands of children and their families were affected by the storm, including a total of 4,252 CCF-affiliated children.

CCF-Guatemala is assisting in four core areas:

• Immediate Assistance — safe drinking water and food
• Food Security — seeds and harvesting tools
• Construction Materials — basic shelter, the repair of roofs, walls and latrines
• Family Support  — medicines and clothing
