Afshan hails from a very poor family who live in destitute state of poverty and misery. His father works as a labor and his mother, a housewife, rolls beedi (local cigar) in order to maintain the family. Their hard work fetches them a very low income of approximately US dollar 540 per annum, which does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. The mother is at her wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, they sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Afshan is now in primary school. He is active. He likes to learn numbers. He enjoys playing group games and is interested in drawing. His health is average. Afshan has one brother and one sister. Your kind sponsorship will be of great help to this needy child and family.
