Migel is the youngest child in a family of four siblings and the only boy child, living under the care of his parents. They live in one of the remote villages in the mid-western part of Uganda which is characterized by peasant farming as the main economic activity carried out in the community. The family of Migel earn their living through farming which is always done on a small piece of rented land with poor soil fertility resulting into low and poor crop yields hence fetching low market value since most of these products are for home consumption and a little is for income to cater for other family basic needs like medical care, school fees, clothing and among others. The community also has a challenge of limited access to health facilities, they move long distances to reach the hospitals that are always overpopulated hence families resort to use of local herbs which are not very safe. Migel is an active child who likes playing with his two siblings during their free time after helping their parents clean the house and compound.
