Salifu lives with his parents and four siblings in a small one-room mud house, which has unfinished dirt floors and lacks a bathroom. His father works as a subsistence farmer, and his mother weaves baskets to sell at the local market. Their combined monthly income barely covers food, leaving no funds for Salifus educational needs. Despite these challenges, Salifu is a bright and talented student, excelling in Counting. However, his inconsistent school attendance worries his mother, who fears he may fall behind. Outside of school, Salifu is healthy and enjoys playing football.
