Anne is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her mother, Vanessa, and with one brother, in a small rural village located in the interior of the state of Ceara, which is a hot and remote region. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The father has abandoned the home and has not been providing any type of financial support for his children. Vanessa is unemployed at this time. The family receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Anne is playful, friendly and communicative. Her pet name is Bia. Her favorite pastimes include playing tag and hide-and-seek. She has a dog she is passionately fond of. Anne attends a local public elementary school and likes physical education. Her big dream is to become a doctor someday. The family is needy and through your support Anne and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
