Meet Mayerly, a kind and loving girl who grows up in a rural community in the department of Cochabamba, located in the central region of Bolivia. The community where Mayerly lives with her parents and three siblings is characterized by agriculture as its main economic activity. She and her entire family live in a humble house with brick walls, a metal roof, and a cement floor. Their home has electricity and running water but lacks indoor sanitation. Her father works as a bricklayer, while her mother does housework and farms for domestic consumption. Her father earns approximately US $ 285.00 which is insufficient to cover the needs of his large family. Mayerly attends public elementary school in her community, and her favorite subject is math. While at home, she enjoys her free time playing with her dolls and also helping her mom in the kitchen. Mayerly really enjoys her time at school, which motivates her to dream of becoming a teacher when she grows up. With your valuable support through the sponsorship program, you can improve the living conditions of Mayerly and her family and provide her with better opportunities.
