Tanwarat Piwthong or Kimberry is a poor girl was born into a needy family. She lives with her father, mother, paternal grandfather, grandmother, elder sister and relative. Farming is the way they make the living and the crop yields in each year are dependent to a seasonal rainfall. If they faced up against rain shortage, the crops might not be sufficient for sale, they would keep it for home consumption only. During an off-farm season her father would work as wage earner, he would do every job he could find around the village to feed the family; however, the employment is uncertain and not a good pay. It’s hard to survive with an irregular income and this may not allow the girl to get proper education and appropriate nutrition. Kimberry is fond of coloring pictures.
