Bethelhem was born in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia. She lives with her mother and father and she is the only child in a family. The child is in primary school. Her fathers name is Workneh and her mothers name is Alemtsehay . Her father is a casual worker and her mother is a housewife. The familys annual income is below the minimum poverty line and they want to change their life by engaging in income generating activities if they get the required support. The family speaks two languages, Amharic and Oromiffa. They live in  single tiny room which is made up of mud and wood. The area where Bethelhem and her family live is congested village, in which a prevalence of diseases is high due to poor environmental sanitation. Though there is nearby school and health service, the public primary school and health station need educational inputs and standard medical equipment respectively.

Ending child poverty begins with Bethelhem. It’s easy. It’s impactful.
