Natinael was born in Addis Ababa. He lives with his parents in one of the slummy area. His father is a day laborer and his mother is a waiter, both earning meager income on casual work . Amharic is the medium of communication within his family. The child is in primary school. The family is currently living in an old single roomed home. Despite the availability of health center in the neighborhood, it lacks necessary laboratory equipment such as microscopes. Even the government schools do not have enough reference books; and the teachers need to be provided with training. Coming from a low income family whose annual income is less than US$ 400, Natinael has been enrolled to get help. Moreover, his family needs support to start income generating activities and life skill training on how to raise children.
