Meba was born in Addis Ababa and she lives with her parents and younger sister in a congested neighborhood with poor hygiene and sanitation where the prevalence of diseases is very high. They speak Amharic local language. Her father works as an assistant driver to earn meager income on daily bases to support the family. Her mother stays at home and takes care of the family. The income the family is getting on daily bases is not enough to cover their most basic needs. As a result, they plan to change their lives by being engaged in income generating activities through given by the project. Meba and the family lives in a poorly built small room, and the nearby school and community health center lack basic equipment and trained professionals.
