Cheikh is a kind and active boy. He lives with his parents in a city located in the central part of the country. His father is a traditional farmer whereas his mother is a housewife without any revenue. They live in a large family house which they share with other close relatives. The annual income of US $ 400.00 which the father earns from his crops can only solve the most pressing needs of the family. Cheikh is in elementary school where he is doing well. After school, he enjoys playing soccer, marbles, hide-and-seek and other games with his friends. At home, he is helpful with small errands which he runs with so much pride.
