In the heart of a tea plantation community in central Sri Lanka, Sashvika, a delightful baby girl, brings warmth and joy to her familys modest home. Though too young for pre-school, she finds comfort and laughter in the playful companionship of her cherished brother, their bond a source of strength amidst the challenges they face. Their humble dwelling, with cement floors, walls, and a roof adorned with tin sheets, stands amidst the barrack-type line rooms of their marginalized community. They are blessed with access to electricity and sanitary facilities, providing a semblance of comfort in their modest abode. Their drinking water is sourced from a tap line within the community, ensuring their basic needs are met. With her mother toiling as a tea plantation laborer and her father working as a driver, their meager income barely sustains their familys needs. Sponsorship lies the hope of a brighter future, where Sashvikas laughter continues to resonate through their home.
