Gerison lives with his father, mother, brothers, and sisters in a small remote rural village in Northern Uganda. The parents have no reliable source of income and making it hard to attain his needs like clothing, food, medical care and beddings. His parents earn income from small scale farming where they get about US dollars 20 annually. They live in a house made of grass that requires annual or even bi-annual replacements on the roof, mud walls and packed dirt on the floor. The family is faced with dire hunger due to their low earnings from subsistence farming thus they eat one late meal a day. Gerison is a humble and polite boy who loves playing football with his friends with balls made of locally available materials like torn polythine and dry banana leaves since its cheap and affordable. He is in school, but his performance has been affected by hunger in school and the long distance of 4 kilometers footing to school. Besides, paying school fees and requirements is a big problem for his parents. Your generous support towards this child will make him have a decent living like other children.
