Daphine lives with her father, mother and a sister in the northern part of Uganda, her family is a typical agricultural family that relies solely on farming for their livelihood, and this has not been so fruitful for the last two years due to the prolonged drought. The output got from the farm products is unable to attend to all the family needs, which sometimes forces her parents to provide cheap labour in peoples gardens to supplement on their income. Daphine and her family live in a small-dilapidated hut that requires smearing with cow dung monthly, which has not been easy thus leaving them in a dusty hut. Daphine is enrolled in school but is at a verge of dropping out due to lack of scholastic materials, this may distort her dream of becoming a teacher since she is unable to attain the best education.
