Eli lives with his parents and siblings in the North Eastern part of Uganda, in a small grass-thatched house made of mud, grass, and wattle. His village is rural and has very limited access to clean water. The family depends on small-scale farming for their livelihood, but their yields are often affected by pests, soil erosion, and poor soil fertility. As a result, they struggle to produce enough food for home consumption and have little left to sell to meet their basic needs. The family fetches water from a nearby borehole shared by more than 200 households in the community. Eli attends a local primary school and is currently in grade two. With your kind support, Eli can gain access to clean water and quality education, giving him the opportunity to grow, learn, and build a brighter future.
