Manuka and his sister live with their parents in a pleasant village in Puttalam, Sri Lanka. He finds joy in playing Cricket with his friends. He also loves to help his mother to sweep and clean the house. He attends a local school and his father takes him to school on his motor bike. His favorite subject is mathematics. Manuka’s father works as a Cultivator to earn a living for the family and earns an income of around USD550/- which is not sufficient to meet the needs of their family. His mother attends to the house work and tries to manage their expenses with limited resources. The family lives in a house which belongs to Manuka’s grandmother. The house has been constructed with cement blocks. The floor is cemented and the roof is covered with asbestos sheets. The family enjoys electricity, tap water and a water sealed toilet. The money earned is not sufficient for their day to day requirements and to provide healthy meals to their children. Your kind support will undoubtedly weave a brighter chapter into their journey of life and help Chanuka to look forward to a better future for himself and his family.
