Umu is a cheerful young girl who lives with her parents in Kondeya village located in the interior northern region of Sierra Leone. They occupy an unfinished house which lacks electricity facility. Umu and her family fetch water from an open shallow well about 1km away which is unhealthy due to pollution. Her father is a commercial bike rider whiles the mother sells foodstuffs along the street to earn little income to support the house. She is attending school in her Community where she is learning basic counting and reading. In the evening she studies with her uncle using a solar light. She usually helps out her family at home by washing dishes. She is in good health despite the low living condition of her parents. Support from sponsorship will contribute to make a remarkable difference in her life and family.
