Saran is a smart and happy child who lives with her parents in a three bedroom house roof with zinc that normally leaks when there is heavy rain fall with unpaved dirt floors. She sleeps with her parents on a locally made wooden bed, They get their drinking and cooking water from a nearby stream which is unsafe due to pollution. Her parents are substance farmers. Their annual income cannot cater for the immediate needs of the family. Saran likes to play balancing ball in her leisure time. She is punctual and always attend school on time.
