Marie live with her parents in the Coastal Region of the Gambia. Her mother is a seasonal gardener, earns little from the sales of produce. The father is also a subsistence farmer depends on rain-fed agriculture to take care of his family. The family lives in mud block house with two rooms and a pallor. The family’s economic situation is not desirable. They are not financially strong to support the children education cost and feeding.  Marie has a sister who attended the same with school. Marie is in the toddlers class. She likes to play with toys with other children during her leisure times. Her health status is good for now.
