Caster is a very smart boy who lives in the southeastern part of Mozambique. He lives with his father and sister. Caster and his family live in a self-built house with reed walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have electricity. They use primitive a kerosene lamps to get light at night. They do not have running water either. They use well water which they keep in tanks for drinking and cooking meals. Caster studies in a primary school and his favorite subject is Math. In future, he would like to be a football player. He helps his family with the chores around the house. He often sweeps the yard. He enjoys playing soccer with his friends. His father is a subsistence farmer. She does not produce as expected because she cannot afford fertilizers. It has been very hard for the family to live by means of crops when they only grow very few crops. Caster participates in the program where he will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation.
