Deisy is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Devanildo and Cristiana, and with one brother, in a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Devanildo struggles to earn a living as a servant on constructions when available, but his very low income is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Deisy is affectionate, inventive and communicative. She helps her mom by making the beds and washing the dishes. She likes playing tag and with dolls along with her friends. She has a cat she is fond of. Deisy attends a local public primary school and her favorite subject is Portuguese. Her big dream is to become a doctor someday. The family is needy and through your support Deisy and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
